Odysseus

Vino TintoThis is the first rosé wine made ever in this well-known D.O.…”Why not make a rosé on our Paleozoic patch?”  This was the question which we asked ourselves, a while back, the reply is in the bottle...

Spoilt little brother of the big reds, free of spirit and independent, of great character and infrequent manufacture, its quality controlled only by the selection of the grapes and without the employment of any technology; only human hands and constant care are all that have been used to make this exclusive and complex fresh young rosé: it has had, for example, very little skin contact time (maceration).

A lively, almost perfect colour (not brash like other “Claretes”); a very redcurrant sort of aroma, with other red fruits in there, too, elegant and light, which seem to remain on the palate but without overdoing it (neither aggressive nor heavy); a lovely after-taste, silky, no sharpness, a clean flavour.

So here´s to the slate (our Paleozoic rock)!    What agreeable surprises it can give us!

In the future, we promise—you can rely on us—to produce a couple of thousand bottles each year.

Serve it at 12º.  We don´t reckon you´ll gain any extra complexity by cooling it further.
