Vinified in the same 400 litre open barrels, the grapes come also from very old vines with a very low production (0,250 Kgs. Per vine).
Constant battonage is made during fermentation to get the best colour extraction of the grapes. Varieties are: Caiñena, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon…there is also a tiny 10% composed by Touriga National, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Caladoc.
Aged in Quercus Alba and Quercus Sessili casks for a period no longer than ten months.
The happy result is not a garage wine, nor a competition wine or a window wine, or a tasting wine or a parade wine…Just the opposite: it is a genuine original, medium bodied, nice tannins and correct alcohol contents without being aggressive, very versatile and good companion of any kind of food.
Just as simple as that.
